Getting a little wild in your own backyard

Planting shrubs and bushes that the birds can use for food and shelter is the first step.

Native forbs, shrubs, and trees will provide the foliage, nectar, pollen, berries, seeds and nuts that many local species need to survive and thrive.Bird feeders also can provide the nourishment needed, so mixing and matching the natural with a feeder or two will attract many various species.
