Rock gardens: a great focal point in the landscape

Getting water to your rock garden is an important consideration. Because the pockets of soil can be small — especially with a rock garden in a retaining wall — you need to consider how you will make sure your rock garden doesn’t dry out and that it receives enough water.

Rock gardens look very nice near a water feature or around a bird feeder, bird bath or, if the area is very sunny, a nice sundial.
