Councilman makes effort to clean up bird feeders

Cuyahoga Falls — City Council May 16 will discuss proposed legislation that would call for improved upkeep of bird feeders and compost heaps, for the sake of health and safety, its sponsor says.

Presented by Council Vice President Jerry James (D-7), the bird feeder ordinance would make it illegal for anyone to “feed, keep or harbor pigeons or other wild or domesticated birds in the city so as to create … offensive odors or unsanitary conditions …”
