Plants that will attract birds to your garden

IF YOU’RE ONE of the 65 million people in the United States who identify themselves as birders, you may have wondered how to get more birds into your garden.

Providing trees and shrubs as food sources can work in tandem with bird feeders. Some bird enthusiasts worry that providing bird seed year-round will cause their regulars to become dependent on humans for sustenance, but that is not true. Birds will instinctively seek out natural food sources, and the food they consume at bird feeders is only a small portion of the amount they take in every day.
