Watering plants is easier with the right tools

If you are like most people, watering does not rank up there on the list of most enjoyable things to do, but it is a necessity in Kansas during most summers. It is rare to have a wet spring and summer like we did last year, so chances are that you will be needing to water your gardens and flowers.

A good wand for reaching hanging plants, the bird bath or for spot watering in certain areas can save your back. If you can get one with an adjustable pattern so that you water only the areas you desire, that is helpful. Secondly, if the head rotates and tilts to save your wrists, that is ideal. Some wands telescope up to 52 inches to give you maximum reach. Do be careful not to have the water pressure too high, as this may blast new plants out of the soil and cause erosion.
