Selecting the right feeder and flowers can help bring hummingbirds flittering into you backyard

Songbird Station owner “Bird Man” Mel Toellner said he always thinks of the hummingbirds when tax day rolls around.

It’s time to “give the government its due and get your bird feeders out,” he said.

A good feeder is one that’s attractive to hummingbirds, difficult for their competitors to get into and, perhaps most importantly, easy to clean.
