Feeders, plants attract hummingbirds to yard

Just about every homeowner I know likes to watch hummingbirds. They are so fascinating to watch. If you haven’t already put out a hummingbird feeder, do it now. Most bird watchers say the time to put out the bird feeders is during Masters, even though the first birds usually arrive in our areas around March 16 to 20.

The ruby-throated hummingbird is the main species we see and is the only hummingbird to nest east of the Mississippi River.
