Tips for healthier neighborhoods

People often describe cities as a living, ever-changing system. Well, the same goes for your neighborhood.

Follow these tips, and your neighborhood will evolve into a healthy neighborhood:

  • Make sure your yard is “birdscaped,” meaning it has a bird feeder, a birdbath and a habitat garden. These areas will attract birds as well as pollinators like butterflies.
  • Keep cats indoors. Cats love to feast on birds, and a community-wide effort to keep the pets indoors will help enhance native bird populations.
