KIDNOCKER: Planting a garden that’s for the birds

Commercial bird feeders can be expensive to keep filled, and can encourage a real mess around the yard and patio.

Birds can be selective and throw away what they don’t want, sowing what we consider weeds throughout the landscape.

There is also the scenario of rodents and javelina coming to eat the seed on the ground beneath the feeder.

    Love your information as I am originally from Arizona now living in Colorado. My husband and I have been re-planting our yard to make it into more of a natural habitat for our local neighborhood birds. Really enjoy your posts.
