Ramble educates on birds

Wandering around the State Botanical Garden can be an educational experience.

During the first ramble of the year, walkers can learn about types of bird feeders, feeder hygiene, winter bird species and plants in one hour.

“It’s a great opportunity to come to the gardens and learn about the trees and birds,” said Cora Keber, education coordinator.

The garden has offered a ramble of native birds before, but this is the first time both will be featured, she said.
